New addition to our family..

Dear Krizzia May,

We saw a picture of you today
You are so cute and pretty
Pink cheeks, soft lips, tiny hands and feet
You are like an angel as you sleep

My cousins Marly & Rene are so blessed to have such healthy baby
Your big brother JM must be very happy to have a sister finally
See, everyone back home is just so excited to see you baby Krizzia May
From your great grandma, Nanay Paulina to little cousin, Nikki

Across the miles, we were all excited to see you too
Nanay Auring smiled when she saw you resting your head in a little pillow
I know she can’t wait to see you, for she already shopped gifts for you
Just like all the girls in our family, she’ll make you some cute dresses someday

Your Daddy Chad’s comment about you was very funny
He said, “She looks like a Miss JM to me”….
Don’t worry baby, ’cause I know he is going to love you
Just as much as he does with all my other niece and nephews

I wonder if whether you will call me Mommy Gaw like your Kuya JM does
Or will you prefer Mommy Mich like your cousins Nikki and JR do
But it really doesn’t matter how you’d like to call my name
For I love you just the same

So my dear niece, I look forward to the day when I see your little face
When I can give you my sweet hugs and not just one little kiss
For now, I pray that you stay as healthy as a baby can be
And I can not wait to watch you grow into a strong, sweet and kind lady

Just like your Mommy.

In Honor of Memorial Day

Click on “The Name in the Stone” link above for a moving story.

Pictures above are of the World War II Memorial in Washington DC that I visited last March together with Mama and hubby.  We felt bad that we didn’t get the chance to visit the other Memorials at the National Capital because we were so tired and still suffering from jetlag since we just arrived from the Philippines at that time. I hope to visit Washington DC again in the near future and see some more of these Memorials.

On this memorial day, let’s remember and honor the men and women who died for this country and the families that they left behind.
